This image of M8 represents about 500 subs (30 second exposures) with a remotely controlled Seestar S30 stationed out at Starfront Observatories in Rockwood TX. They recently launched this $100/month subscription to take over a seestar there -- really cool idea of theirs, great for cloudy nights like last night when I can't utilize my actual telescope and rig in my backyard. This was my first image with a smart scope and I am really impressed with the data quality! My main takeaway is if this is achievable with the S30 in bortle 3/4, I can't imagine what my full rig could do there. submitted by /u/Tall-Beautiful-6186 [link] [comments]
