And it naturally brings attention to what the line used to be. And for me personally, I find myself going back to this watch - the Omega Constellation ref. 14393-61SC. Before the era of sports watches, before size, presence, and utility took over. There was a time when brands like Omega were focused on something else entirely which is to make beautiful dress watches. This was also before the quartz era reshaped the industry. Introduced in the early 1960s, the 14393-61SC came from a period defined by clarity and optimism. Post-war design had moved away from ornament toward precision. Everything became cleaner, sharper, more deliberate and Omega translated that directly into this watch. The case measures 34mm, but the tapered lugs give it structure and presence beyond its size.…
