The unit is a 01/2020 Trane. Model 4TTR7048B. Issue is the capacitor went out in 9/2024. Three months later it was having startup issues again. New capacitor was installed just to rule out any defective issues with the previously installed capacitor. Three months later again the compressor was having startup issues again and the capacitor was rating 35 mfd out of 35 and a hard start kit was installed (there was no manufacturer installed hard start kit). Six months later, the hard start kit went out and was not working. Startup amps was about 45 amps and when I replaced the hard start kit, the startup amps went to 22 amps. Just some for information: LRA is 122.1 Amps RLA is 20.4 Amps Startup with capacitor only is about 45 amps Startup with hard start kit is 22 amps RLA is about 12 amps Condenser coils were already cleaned. Evaporator coils are clean. Filter is clean. Subcool is a 6.2 (should be 10 degree but compressor shouldn’t be having this issue regardless) Pressures are 131 psig / 301 psig.…
