Just moved into a different house. Super excited bc we have a good sized fenced in yard for the doggos. 2 weeks after moving in, got some rain and this is the situation we have now even with the smallest rain. Our landlord said they would look and see what they can do to mitigate the issue. But in the event they don’t care to do anything, what are some affordable things we can do to improve this? My girlfriend mentioned planting some water loving plants/bushes to soak up some water nearest to the garage door. Hopefully so the garage doesn’t flood…. Really sucks bc this is the only entry into the back yard. The mud afterwards is also really smelly and just gross in general. When it happens, our only option is to take the dogs out on a leash in the front yard. Which also gets very wet. It looks like the property is just in a low spot and no ditch in the front yard.
