Courtesy Hoffman Construction Jacobs Engineering Group designed Intel's $5-billion Fab 52 plant in Chandler, Ariz. ENR Mountain States and Southwest has selected Jacobs as the 2026 Southwest Design Firm of the Year. Firms of the Year are chosen by ENR editors based on a carefully selected group of finalists. Factors include regional revenues, new initiatives, current projects, community and industry contributions and other considerations. ENR's Southwest region includes Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. Large-scale projects led by Jacobs' Arizona offices are reshaping the regional construction landscape.  In Chandler, Ariz., Jacobs' Fab 52 project with Hoffman Construction is the largest semiconductor fabrication facility Intel has built to date, providing more than 2.9 million sq ft of overall space for advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
