I always thought the swim wouldn't be a big deal, since I picked it up pretty quickly. But actually training has been way more frustrating than I expected. Most of my workouts are longer sets now, usually 800m+, because I'm trying to build more endurance and get faster for open water. And honestly... I'm starting to hate it a little. There's just no fun in it right now. I used to actually like swimming before I started "traning" for it, but now it feels so repetitive. I'm just starting at the line, losing count of how many laps I've done, and then when my swim data looks worse than expected, it makes the whole thing even more annoying. Is this normal at the beginning? How do you guys make swim training feel less miserable, or at least less boring? submitted by /u/CdtWeasel [link] [comments]
