So, I own a korg ms 20 mini, and i notice that when i have the filter envelope in use, it triggers only once while i play in a manner which my fingers never fully lift off the keyboard, (i believe the term for this manner is "legato"?). The only way it retriggers is if i completely raise up my finger then press another note. Meanwhile, on a moog messenger I tried out at guitar center, the filter envelope triggers every time a key is pressed, while playing legato. Why is this? What is this principle called? I watched the "synthesizing with moog" series and learned that an envelope is triggered by a control voltage source. Could it be the ms20 mini's cv source is the whole keyboard while the messenger's source are the individual keys? Thanks.
