(NEXSTAR) – An amusement park in Pennsylvania has earned the top spot in Tripadvisor ’s “Best of the Best” Travelers’ Choice Awards. Knoebels Amusement Resort, in Elysburg, was ranked as the best business in the “Amusement & Water Parks — United States” category for the 2026 edition of the awards, beating out several Disney parks, Universal properties and even Dollywood, the winner in the same category in both 2024 and 2025. “It’s got it all: roller coasters, kid-friendly rides (bumper cars, a haunted mansion), swimming, camping, a mining museum, and even a championship 18-hole golf course,” Tripadvisor writes of Knoebels. The Pennsylvania park is also the country’s biggest “free-admission” amusement park, meaning guests don’t pay to get in, but instead purchase tickets and pay per ride.
