On a bright Friday morning, in commemoration of Earth Day, our dedicated team from Akamai gathered by the banks of Rio Agres, one of the most significant rivers in Escazú, Costa Rica. This scenic river flowing through the heart of our community was the site of our latest volunteering event. Our mission? To clean up the river and prevent trash from reaching our precious oceans. The turnout was incredible. Thirty volunteers, all fueled by a shared sense of responsibility for our environment, arrived ready to make a difference. Equipped with gloves, bags, shovels, and an unyielding spirit, we set out to tackle the various types of waste that had accumulated along the riverbanks and in the riverbed. \r\n We coordinated with the local police and municipality to ensure the safe and efficient transfer of the trash bags.
