As we move through 2026, the digital conversation for membership bodies & charities has shifted. It is no longer enough to just have a digital presence. The real challenge now is the cohesion of that presence. In my recent conversations with leaders across the sector, a very specific and painful theme has emerged. It isn't a lack of technology that is the problem. In fact, most organisations actually have too much of it. The typical membership body is now managing a patchwork of systems: a website, a member or donor portal, a CRM, an LMS for CPD, an application tracking system, and a finance gateway.
