As he describes the series, a brainstorm sessions for a new background feature led to some simple doodles that landed somewhere between topographic maps and amoeba imagery. In his own description of the wallpaper set, he mentions “some wallpapers looked more topographic, while others looked like minimal, single-celled little blobs. [He] couldn’t quite settle on a name until I posted one of the images online and someone suggested ‘Topographic Amoeba.’” My favorite of the collection is Vanella Hills option, which includes some rich purple gradients.
