A shelter-in-place order that was issued by Colorado Springs police to apprehend a person on Thursday afternoon was lifted less than an hour later, according to the Peak Alert.

The one-block radius for the order extended along the 1300 block of North El Paso Street, between East Columbia Street and East San Miguel Street. The order was in effect one block north of North Middle School.

Police told The Gazette the person is facing felony narcotics charges and was barricaded near the front of a residence in the area. The suspect was eventually found and arrested without incident.
