During a frenzied New York design week heavy on new launches and group shows, one name stood out from the fray: Laguna~B. The Venetian glass atelier released collaborations with two buzzy New York design studios in two weeks: Dusen Dusen and lighting studio In Common With . Both designers are known for their love of color and sense of play, but the Laguna~B collabs brought their styles to new territories. In Common With deviated from color-block lighting designs to kaleidoscopic floral bulbs, while Dusen Dusen’s collab yielded zany, anthropomorphic pitchers and patterned drinking glasses to match. It’s light work for the brand who’s been making Murano glass on the Venetian island by hand since 1994, their core commitment unchanged even through increasingly high-profile collaborations: glassware in their signature style of Goto , one piece at a time, in colorful swirls and patterns inspired by artists like Miró and Calder.…
