It’s class dismissed for Gen V , as Prime Video has canceled the show after two seasons. On Friday, executive producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg regretted they couldn’t “keep the party going another season at Godolkin.” Despite the cancellation, they teased Marie and Jordan and the others won’t just be left behind. “We’re committed to continuing the Gen V characters’ stories in The Boys season five and other VCU projects on the horizon,” said Kripke and Goldberg. “You’ll see them again.” Gen V was one of the earlier spinoffs for The Boys, putting that show’s superhero satire in a college context. Starring Jaz Sinclair, Asa Germann, and Hamish Linklater, the second season wrapped last October, and Deadline called its end “expected.” During the show’s two-season run, there was some narrative overlap with The Boys, including several of that show’s cast popping in for guest appearances.…
