Next stage of major cycleway project to get underway

Construction on the next stage of the Nor’West Arc cycleway in Christchurch is about to get underway. Isaac Construction has been awarded the contract for the project, which forms part of the northernmost section of Te Ara O-Rakipaoa Nor'West Arc cycleway. The works is anticipated to start on the site in late May. The project will cover all of Matsons Ave and Chapel St, along with a small section of Harewood Rd between Harris Cres and the railway crossing. The work is expected be finished by December and are part of the wider Northwest programme of water and roading upgrades, which got underway in January this year. Water and roading infrastructure in multiple locations across the northwest are being upgraded to ensure they can service the needs of a growing city.…
