About 70 golfers from around Southland and Otago took to the Gore Golf Club’s course on Friday for an Ambrose golf tournament to raise funds for a not-for-profit that provides food to those in need.

It was the third Elanco Driving Change Golf Day this year, this time raising funds for farmer-founded charity Meet The Need.

Elanco Otago and Southland territory manager Grant McCall (left) and account manager Graeme Cocker (right) said it was a "no-brainer" to support the worthy organisation.

Meet The Need was founded in 2020, and provides meat and milk to food banks and community groups around the country, such as the Gore Salvation Army.

Meet the Need stakeholder liaison Danielle Williams said the collective had seven more organisations in Southland on their waitlist who needed their produce.
