A suspect is in custody after two women were stabbed to death in separate incidents just hours apart on Long Island , New York , authorities said. Nassau County police said the suspect knew both victims but a motive for the killings remains unclear, CBS News reported. The first attack unfolded around 12:30 a.m. outside a Wendy’s restaurant in Island Park where a woman who worked at the fast food joint was killed while taking out the trash, police said. Just hours later, at about 3 a.m., the same suspect allegedly carried out a second fatal stabbing inside a home on West Mineola Avenue in Valley Stream, according to police.
