CMV: Love felt more meaningful when it was forbidden I’ve been thinking about how love has changed over time. Love used to hit deeper when it wasn’t easy. Back then, people had to fight for it like against family, society, everything. Now it’s just easily available. You can find someone, lose them, replace them. Now it feels like love is everywhere and somehow, nowhere at the same time. It’s easier to date, easier to move on, easier to replace. People don’t stay the same way they used to. That “one person for life” idea feels almost unrealistic now. And because it’s so accessible, it feels like it’s lost some of its depth or maybe its seriousness. It’s like when something is harder to obtain, it tends to feel more valuable and that might apply to love as well. It feels like if you want a real, long-term relationship now, you have to downplay it. Be chill don’t get attached, don’t expect too much. But if you keep it casual, that’s normal. When did caring deeply become something people hide?…
