Streep will reprise her iconic role of Miranda Priestly in the sequel, a fictional fashion magazine editor-in-chief inspired by the real-life Vogue editor Anna Wintour. Lead Anne Hathaway is also back as Andrea “Andy” Sachs, a serious journalist who got a crash course in fashion in the first film when she worked as Miranda’s assistant. Now, twenty years later, Miranda and Andy reunite when Andy takes a new job as the features editor at Miranda’s magazine.
