What actually improved my outbound results wasn’t better copy

I used to focus on scripts, personalization, and volume.

It worked a bit, but results were inconsistent.

The real shift was focusing on intent. Most outreach fails because there’s no active need.

The only messages that got replies were when someone was already talking about a problem or looking for a solution.

So I stopped volume outreach and built around that. Fewer messages, but much higher reply rates.

I’ve been working on a small system to surface these signals and make outreach more contextual instead of forced.
