Your keyboard app is the most important app on your phone and you have never once thought about it. You don't know what version it's on. You've never read its changelog. You couldn't name a single feature it shipped in the last year. It just works, and that's the whole point, and also that's the highest bar any piece of technology can clear. The technologies that actually changed how people live all share one trait: they disappeared. Not failed, not faded.
