Looking for opinions on attaching 2" IMC conduit to wall. **Situation:** Installing a 2" IMC service entrance, supported by B-line strut channel sections fastened to the wall, with strut clamps securing the IMC to each strut. **Question:** Is it acceptable to use a single structural screw per strut to attach each strut to the wall framing, or do I need two fasteners per strut? **Key facts:** * 2" IMC weighs \~3.4 lb/ft; supports spaced per NEC 342.30(B) (max 10 ft, within 3 ft of boxes/fittings). * Strut clamps grip the IMC, so the IMC itself ties all the struts together β€” a single strut can't rotate around its screw without the whole system resisting it.
