As part of a Boy Scouts project I need to write to an editor of a newspaper on a subject I choose. I am writing to you to talk about the need for prescribed burns. I am wondering if we really need to do prescribed burns every year. Do prescribed burns really work? If so, when is the best time of year to do it? Does it have to be spring and fall? I don’t really like having smoke three seasons of the year but if it really works I am ok with it. I personally am scared of wildfires that is why I brought up this subject. Thank you for listening.
