An appeal has been made for help to find a 73-year-old missing Christchurch woman.

Police are want the public’s assistance to locate Patricia McGregor who has been reported missing from the Papanui area.

The 73-year-old was last seen on Harewood Rd on Monday.

She was wearing a red jumper and black pants.

"Police and Patricia’s family have concerns for her wellbeing and would like to see her return safely," police said in a statement.

"If you have seen Patricia, or have information regarding her whereabouts, please contact police via 105 and quote the reference number P066359684."
