We attempted the traverse from the Nesmith trail today. Tanner and the connecting trail Moffett have only been opened recently and haven’t received any maintenance since the 2017 Eagle creek burn but the first half of Moffett was surprisingly easy to follow, probably because the snow only melted a week or two ago and the bushes haven’t started growing. Once we passed the powerlines the rhododendrons got thick and the tread disappeared when we got to the burned part of Tanner creek. Since this was only a day hike we turned back there. Last pic is a panorama.
