Virginia Tech women's basketball has its first pickup of the 2026 offseason. On3 Sports' Talia Goodman reported today that Tennessee forward Alyssa Latham has committed to the Hokies. — Talia Goodman (@TaliaGoodmanWBB) April 1, 2026 Latham will have one year of eligibility remaining, and is a short-term pickup similar to Mel Daley and Kilah Freelon for Tech last year. Goodman reported that Latham had previously taken official visits to Ole Miss and Virginia Tech. In her collegiate career, Latham has started 47 games, averaging 5.7 points and 4.8 assists in 20 minutes per game. Latham played at Tennessee for two years, but entered collegiate basketball as an ACC player, playing at Syracuse. As a freshman for Syracuse, she started all but six of the 32 games that she played in, averaging 8.6 points and a team-high seven rebounds per game on 46.0%/28.6%/63.3% shooting splits. As a result, Latham was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team.…
