Foo Fighters Bring New Songs and Classics to First-Ever Tiny Desk Concert

Foo Fighters stopped by the NPR office to perform their first-ever Tiny Desk Concert . The band brought five tracks to their Tiny Desk debut, including two from their brand new album,  Your Favorite Toy . They opened the show with “Spit Shine,” one of the more raucous cuts from their new LP; the desk may be tiny and the directive may be ‘acoustic-ish,’ but the Foos certainly brought plenty of energy, volume, and a slight bit of mayhem to the track. Next was “Learn to Fly,” a perfect fit for Tiny Desk’s pared-down style. Get Foo Fighters Tickets Here They then busted out “Child Actor,” a song they performed recently on  Saturday Night Live UK . Before playing it, Dave Grohl joked about the SNL performance, saying that because he hadn’t gotten a haircut before the show, he accidentally inhaled his own hair and made a sound akin to “the furball sound” that a cat makes. “I didn’t choke!” said Grohl at the conclusion of the track.…
