for context it's the plastic doohickey for adjusting the headband of the Moondrop Cosmo headphones - the design of the headband is kinda awful. For now, I'm putting an oven mitt on my head to make the headphones fit. The boss sheared after ~1y of normal use, just popped right off one day. I contacted the manufacturer, they said to contact the retailer. I did, the retailer ignored me. I think my only option is to try to make a replacement. Even if I got a replacement part, it would be plastic again and probably fail in a similar way. So, I thought, this might work very well made from aluminum. But, I'm not sure how to (1) turn the broken part into data, (2) send the data to someone who can make it, or (a) turn the broken part into data, (b) make the broken part myself submitted by /u/xyzpqr [link] [comments]
