for context it's the plastic doohickey for adjusting the headband of the Moondrop Cosmo headphones - the design of the headband is kinda awful. For now, I'm putting an oven mitt on my head to make the headphones fit. The boss sheared after ~1y of normal use, just popped right off one day. I contacted the manufacturer, they said to contact the retailer. I did, the retailer ignored me. I think my only option is to try to make a replacement. Even if I got a replacement part, it would be plastic again and probably fail in a similar way. So, I thought, this might work very well made from aluminum.
