The repaving project is scheduled to begin Wednesday and continue through mid-June, barring weather or construction delays, according to the U.S. Forest Service. Crescent Lake — popular area for boating and camping — is located in the Deschutes National Forest, roughly 65 miles southwest of Bend. Crews will repave about one mile of road beginning at the Crescent Lake Sno-Park and extending south along Forest Service Road 60, a route that provides access around Crescent Lake. According to a Forest Service statement, the section is being resurfaced because road conditions have worsened and potholes can no longer be repaired without full repaving.
