(photo by special arrangement) Spanish Ambassador Juan Antonio March Pujol unveiled a sculpture by Jaume Plensa, a renowned artist from Barcelona, at Kempegowda International Airport’s Terminal 2 on April 25. The sculpture Bengaluru ’s Soul, composed of painted steel in the general form of human figures, consists of hundreds of interconnected letters in languages ranging from Kannada, Armenian, and Japanese to Hindi, and even mathematical symbols. Plensa, whose public art displays are known in major cities around the world (such as the Crown Fountain in Chicago), often includes an element of public interaction in his work.
