Mid 20s, ~4 years out of college, been at the same F1000 company since graduating. I’ve moved from Accountant I -> II -> III (Senior equivalent) over that time. Currently mid $80K base (~$100K with bonus/equity/401k match) in a MCOL area. No CPA. My work is mostly GL accounting. Work life balance is solid, but I’m starting to feel pretty stagnant after being in the same role for ~2 years. I looked at jumping to finance internally but they wanted more experience (degree is finance and accounting). But I am definitely interested in corporate finance. My only experience is an internship from five years ago though. Also looked at jumping to an accounting project management lead internally but didn’t accept the role. There’s a potential path to a program lead role (no directs) in ~2 years.…
