Summer in Central Oregon is a beautiful thing. There’s the river-floating and the sunset-watching. The biking, the cycling, the hiking and the climbing. There’s patio-drinking and pet-parading, fly-fishing and golf-ball-golfing, downtown-strolling and … well, yes, there’s some traffic-navigating, but if that bothers you, it means you’ve been here long enough to forget that it’s worse in other places. And then there’s the abundant opportunities to enjoy live music that pop up in the summer — in local parks, alongside food cart pods, on festival grounds, behind bars and pretty much anywhere else you can fit some musicians, a sound system and some folks to watch those two things make magic together.
