Colorado Springs police have arrested a suspect in a November shooting that nearly killed a woman after a bullet pierced her chest, narrowly missing her heart . Chase Edwards, 25, was arrested in late February after months of investigation by the police, according to court records. He faces three counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of first-degree assault. The woman, now 23, told investigators that she believes the incident was in retaliation for an accidental shooting involving her boyfriend, who was also there during the shooting. She said her boyfriend accidentally shot at a person. That person and Edwards allegedly have affiliations with a Cañon City group called the “Duck Park Gang,” according to Edwards’ arrest papers.
