Published May 5, 2026, 7:00 p.m. ET I don’t know about you, but I’m still not over last week’s episode of Daredevil: Born Again (Season 2, Episode 7: “The Hateful Darkness”). Spoilers ahead! The penultimate installment of the second season was the perfect appetizer as we await tonight’s (May 5) finale. We witnessed a tense and surprisingly physical exchange between Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) and Heather (Margarita Levieva), the return of lawyer extraordinaire Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Poindexter making good on his promise of performing a good deed, and, of course, the redemption of fan favorite Daniel Blake (Michael Gandolfini), which was sadly followed by the character’s death at the hands of his friend Buck Cashman (Arty Froushan). But Buck shooting Daniel wasn’t in the original script. Daredevil: Born Again showrunner Dario Scardapane told Variety that the original ending of the scene , the one that was shot, concluded with Buck failing to pull the trigger and telling Daniel to run away.…
