Dear Care and Feeding, My boyfriend has two young daughters with his ex, who lives in a different state with the girls. The last time he went to visit them, the older daughter, who’s in middle school, went off on him and said some pretty hurtful things—about both of us. She called him a loser who has to have a “sugar mama” take care of him. The thing is: He’s in the film industry (he works as crew), which tanked hard, leaving him with huge child support and alimony payments he can barely cover. I work for myself, quite successfully, and was glad to help him (and by extension, the girls) through a difficult time. It did bother him, but he appreciated my help.…
