Lilly Singh is set to be honoured at The Hollywood Reporter ’s Women in Entertainment Canada gala and summit that is taking place at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Toronto on Thursday, May 28, 2026. The Canadian actress and producer will receive the Equity in Entertainment Award, a tribute that recognizes Canadians whose success opens the way for industry change and access for members of underrepresented communities. Born and raised in Scarborough, Ontario, Singh first built her empire on YouTube under the handle “Superwoman,” pulling billions of views with sketches that blended Bollywood references, Toronto energy and deadpan takes on everything from strict parents to dating disasters.
