Working on plans for a 2 week PNW camping/roadtrip in June. I’ll be traveling solo in my Ford Ranger. My rough plan is to go up the CA/Oregon Coast to Seattle, across Washington and return coming down the eastern side of Washington/oregon, into Nevada and back to the Bay Area via Tahoe. Planning to do about 4-5 hours of driving a day camping in a new spot each day. I guess some questions I’m looking for advice around: How rural is the Oregon coast? Eastern Oregon? Will I be able to find places to grab food/supplies once a day? Or should I plan stock up for 2-3 days at a time? I’ve found a ton of campsite options along my planned route, was thinking I would just bookmark a bunch and then go with the flow stopping when I’m ready at various first come first serve spots. Should I expect crowds or places to be booked up that time of year? Should I use a truck bed tent I have but have never used? (I would do a test run before heading out) Or just bring my 6 person car camping tent?…
