Calcutta High Court news: Coming to the relief of a bank employee who claimed that caste-based discrimination forced him to convert from Hinduism to Islam, the Calcutta High Court recently held that the right to practise and change one’s religion is protected under Article 25 of the Constitution, and no adverse administrative action can be taken based on a person’s faith.
