Got blacklisted from placements for rejecting a company I never wanted. Did I just ruin my career? ​ Recently got the opportunity from my college to sit for HighRadius (Consultancy role). First round was an online assessment. I was honestly not interested in the company at all, so I didn’t prepare anything. I marked most of the answers randomly, except Reading Comprehension where I actually tried since it depends on basic understanding. Results came out after a few days, and somehow I got shortlisted for interviews. The thing is, I genuinely didn’t want to join this company. Seniors had already told me that the workload is very high, they can shift you to sales during internship, and the internship is 1 year long, so you miss out on placements. I’ve been working on development since 1st year, building my skills, doing DSA, projects, everything. Going into roles like CVTech or M&A just didn’t feel right to me.
