I recently lost access to a direct RJ45 plug in my house that I used to connect my STM32 nucleo as a TCP client. I've been wanting to connect my Nucleo board directly to my Host PC that I use to flash and debug, since that's the only other ETH port I have. I've been using the NetXDuo TCP client example as a backbone for my project. I seemingly can't get past the DHCP ip address assignment. I think it has something to do with my Linux desktop network settings but I'm unsure where to go from here. I've switched the ipv4 method in the network settings for the ETH to "shared to other computers", but still can't obtain an IP address. If anyone has any recommendations I'd appreciate it. submitted by /u/FieryTanks [link] [comments]
