Dear Prudence, Last year, my husband came home from a routine doctor’s appointment and told me that he had been diagnosed with a terminal neurological disease, with about four years to live. I was shattered, heartbroken, depressed. We have two young daughters, and my mind immediately went to them. I couldn’t stand them having this burden. Here’s the thing, though. My husband and I aren’t close. I’m a stay-at-home mom for my youngest daughter, who has nonverbal autism; he’s in tech and is hardly home.…
