I ordered a mid scale bass from a decently well known luthier 2 years ago and was originally told 10-12 months estimated time. Wasn’t necessarily expecting it to be done by then but figured it was a good timeline and sent a 1k deposit. I reached out in early september last year and was told it would be nitro sprayed in a couple weeks and then we’d be in the final stretch… I’ve reached out every month since december to see how it’s going and have not gotten a response. they were at namm, have made some instagram posts, etc so idk. It’s been bugging me because even if something was wrong you would think you could at least let me know. Am I being overly dramatic for considering sending yet another email asking for my deposit back at this point? Whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth and I kind of just want to get my money back and find another mid scale like a novo or something to be “my bass”

Any thoughts would be appreciated, maybe this is a common thing and i’m just being a baby.
