BI's Amanda Hoover created an AI bot trained on her body of work to see if it could do her job. The experiment was an eye-opener , but it didn't leave her worried about losing her job to AI. To be clear, this isn't one of those run-of-the-mill "ChatGPT wrote this story" bits that were everywhere in 2023. When Amanda says she had AI do her job, she means it. From conducting interviews with a voice agent to trying to write the story to dealing with an editor, "Amanda Bot" did it all. The exercise highlighted the abilities and limitations of tech destined to upend our work lives. Others can't get enough of using AI agents on the job.
