Am I doing okay for retirement? Coming from an immigrant family, my parents didn't teach me how to invest and do finance. I've been trying my best to learn things on the internet but finance is not my strong suit. I only started my 401k a couple years ago and my Roth IRA last year. This year I have the opportunity to have an HSA, so planning on maxing that out. Hoping I could get a pulse check on how I'm doing: 30 YO, HCOL Started "real adult job" about 4 years ago Only debt is school loans on PSLF (on year 5 of 10) 401k $36.8k Roth IRA $7.3k (started in 2025, plan to max out 2026) HYSA $35k HSA $1.7 (on track to max out 2026) Checking $19.8k \----------------------- Total assets \~$100k I know I have a lot of cash on hand - HYSA is emergency fund given HCOL, and checking is because I feel insecure having <$10k available immediately. It may not be very realistic but I'm hoping to buy a home within the next 3 years.…
