A cheerful “Tocando” video leads their debut collaborative album Photo by Evan Benally Atwood Helado Negro has joined forces with Reyna Tropical , the Los Angeles project of She Shreds founder and sometime Sleater-Kinney tour guitarist Fabi Reyna, for a new album. Reyna and the ever-affable Roberto Carlos Lange trot around a grocery store in the Josh Finck-directed video for lead single “Tocando,” which you can watch below, ahead of Helado Tropical ’s release on July 17 via Psychic Hotline . The album emerged from a session originally intended to make a single, the duo explains in a press release. Says Lange, “There was never a moment where we felt super stuck.
