I’ve got a pair of Soyuz Lakesides that I’ve been really enjoying, but I’m looking to add some more color options

Right now I’m debating between going the 500 series EQ route or just committing to a BAE 1073, either the 500 series double or triple wide or the 19” rack version. The EQ route makes more sense financially and gives me flexibility with placement before or after compression, but I keep coming back to the 73 sound

I’m curious if there’s actually an audible difference between the BAE 1073 500 series units and the 19” rack version. I’ve heard people mention headroom differences but I’m not sure how noticeable that really is in practice

Also wondering if a BAE 1073 would give me a clearly different result compared to just using my Soyuz Lakesides with a hardware EQ, or if that’s getting into diminishing returns
