Children, teens and adults will be able to draw inspiration from the wonders of space through a broad spectrum of activities and events on Saturday as Colorado Springs and the rest of the U.S. celebrates National Space Day. The event is part of the America 250 and Colorado 150 commemorations, “celebrating the spirit of exploration and innovation that has shaped both Colorado and the United States,” according to the Colorado.com website. The free community event takes place at the Space Foundation Discovery Center at 4425 Arrowswest Drive from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Saturday. Whether exploring the vast possibilities of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) careers, celebrating U.S. achievements like the recent Artemis mission,or simply indulging a love of all things space-related, the event offers something to capture the imagination.
