Rep. Tom Suozzi criticized fellow Democrats for pushing to speed up New York’s redistricting process in a bid to help their party gain seats in the 2028 elections. “I’m opposed to all gerrymandering. I’ve always been opposed to gerrymandering,” Suozzi said when CNN anchor Abby Phillip asked him about the New York Democrat lawmakers’ proposal — backed by Gov. Kathy Hochul — to put a constitutional amendment on the ballot next year to redraw congressional districts before the 2028 elections. Brooklyn Rep.
