My first real Strat I'm 35, about to be 36 next month and I decided to get myself an early birthday present. I got back into playing after not touching my guitars for almost 3 years. When I got clean and sober 6 years ago, I kind of lost the passion for music (at least playing music) that I once had. I felt like it was the drugs/alcohol that inspired my creativity. But, just last year I decided to start playing again after changing jobs to something less demanding with better hours. To say the least, my passion is back. My birthday is one week after my sober date, so I went big (at least for myself) and got a real fender strat. I've always had squiers or epiphone les Paul's, except for a few semi- expensive guitars but those would get pawned for drugs at some point. I found a near perfect used 2012 MIM HSS strat for a good price so I went for it. I've had it for a week now and i couldn't be happier.…
