00:27

This is the moment a brazen shoplifter walked out of a supermarket with a 4ft display full of Cadbury’s chocolate.

CCTV footage released by South Wales Police on Tuesday (12 May) shows Richard Wolsey, 47, of no fixed abode, entering a One Stop shop on Pentregethin Road and boldly picking up the entire display, before walking out the door on 18 April.

The 47-year-old targeted several shops around Cadle, Portmead, Fforestfach, Penlan and the city centre, stealing as much as £657 worth of goods.

On Monday (11 May), Worlsey pleaded guilty to six counts of theft from a shop at Swansea Magistrates’ Court. He has been sentenced to eight months in prison.
